Walking on a hot spring street
At the center of the hot spring town are various shops, including one where you can try sake and wines made in Niigata,
one where you can try Niigata dried fish and fermented foods,
and one where you can try making and decorating homemade rice crackers.
Enjoy a stroll through town.
The Yutabi foot bath is a place where you can casually enjoy Tsukioka Onsen. There is a theatre called “Tsukimidai” where you can see performances and exhibits and an information center called “Furatto” where you can stop by and get information.

Located in the birthplace of Tsukioka Onsen, this is a spot flowing with mystical energy where you can wish for beautiful skin and marriage. Enjoy a hand bath to experience the charm of the spring water casually, statues beckoning you to the hot spring and even sulfur spring water for drinking, a rare offering not found in many other places in Japan. Use your hot spring pass to make memories. Wash your hands at the drinking spot and make a wish for beautiful skin or marriage by pouring spring water over the statues. Then taste the self-proclaimed worst-tasting hot spring water in Japan!

A new sightseeing garden called “Tsukiakari no Niwa” has opened in Tsukioka Onsen Town with free admission.
Paper-covered lanterns line the path through the Japanese garden. They feature various Japanese designs, and in the evening, they create a fantastical world.
In the daytime you can enjoy all kinds of cylindrical objets d'art, and in the back there’s also a place to rest.
Free parking is available, so come and enjoy the garden.

Here you can find premium sake made in Niigata. The sake you can enjoy at Kura is a selection of 90 brands of premium sake made in Niigata. The sake and limited-time-only beverages you sample can also be purchased as souvenirs.

This souvenir shop has a selection of umami-filled foods. You’ll find original dried fish, seafood, miso, soup stock, pickled vegetables, malted rice drinks and many other items, and you can shop while enjoying a free sample of piping hot rice in one hand!!

This shop offers a selection of the Niigata specialty of rice crackers. Grill and decorate yourself to make your own original rice cracker. Imperfect rice crackers and Niigata-only rice crackers delivered straight from the factory are also available at a discount.

At this shop you can sample and purchase fragrant Niigata beverages. Enjoy free samples of Northern Niigata black tea, green tea, Yukimuro coffee and other beverages. You can also try paid samples and purchase premium wine from Iwanohara Vineyard in the Joetsu region.

There are many items made with rice powder that show off the new appeal of Niigata rice.
Boil your own rice powder noodles and add your favorite toppings or buy the new specialty sweet called “Usagi-yaki” made with rice powder. This boutique has rice powder products from all over Niigata. There is also an area where you can eat.

This specialty shop offers gelato and Niigata-esque smoothies featuring domestic fruits and vegetables, primarily from Niigata.
Other fruit and vegetable-themed products are also available for sampling and purchase.

A specialty shop offering chocolates from various chocolate shops located within Niigata.
You can try chocolate fondue, and chocolate drinks are available for purchase as well.
